QCW Cycling fields very competitive cat 1, 2, 3, 4, and novice teams for men and women. Many of the elite team members “came up through the ranks” of the lower categorized squads, earning points, primes, and races, as well as sharing so many fun moments along the way.
The QCW Elite Racing Teams works differently than most elite teams in the United States. We develop our team from the ground up, meaning we do not look for riders from outside our club. Instead, we find talented individuals within our own QCW club and mentor those riders to advance their skills even further. The elite team hosts group rides, skills clinics, one-on-one mentoring and race day coaching. If you are interested in joining the QCW Elite racing team from outside of our club, please inquire with our Board of Directors to understand the current status and composition of each team.
Elite Mens Team
QCW has a very strong presence in the Cat 1 and Cat 2 fields on the road, and also on the track. The men’s team has been at the top of the PA Bar points standings—as individual riders, and also for the team category. The QCW DE men’s team also has made an impact in USAC racing calendar events—successfully competing in local, regional, and national level events.
Elite Womens Team
QCW Women’s Elite Racing Team is a Pennsylvania-based women’s cycling team comprised of Category 1 and 2 elite-level female cyclists. The team races local, national, and international events in all disciplines, with a focus on professional level road racing, while still allowing riders the time and flexibility for personal careers and family outside of racing.
Masters Racing
Whether new to cycling, or on the road since wooden rims were a thing, QCW Masters team offers camaraderie at local rides, at National Championships, and virtually every other cycling event in between. The men and women of the QCW masters team are “in it to win it”. Sometimes that’s a cash prime, and sometimes it’s just winning the town line sprint, on a warm, sunny day, with friends… followed by a pint (or a cup of coffee, if that’s your thing) at one of QCW’s sponsors.
Quaker City Dirt Team
Fear the dirt not! QCW Dirt Team hits the trails, and hurdles ‘cross barriers on a regular basis. You’ll see the blue and white at local MASS and PACX series races, as well as on the trails at Belmont Plateau and the Wiss.
